The SecondClick system uses the Windows Live Search API to return MSN content to a user arriving on MSN from a search engine, such as Google. An interactive mockup of the user journey from Google.co.uk through to an MSN content page containing the SecondClick module, search for content in the mockup Google homepage, click through through the mock SERP to an MSN page and in the right hand column under the video you should see MSN UK content for that keyword. You may need to refresh the page if it doesn't call the API before the page renders.
This is a test of SEO-friendly page reloading. The META Refresh tag has the potential to confuse crawlers, and as it has black-hat usage, might cause a page being entirely ignored. The Javascript method does not get executed by crawlers, and therefore looks like an entirely normal page which will be crawled in the usual way.
